This privacy policy explains how Wet Rooms Liverpool collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit wetroomsliverpool.co.uk or contact us. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Last updated: November 2026.
Who we are
Wet Rooms Liverpool is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, or want to use any of your rights, email info@wetroomsliverpool.co.uk.
What information we collect
When you fill in a form on this website, call us or email us, we may collect:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- the address or area of the property where the work would take place;
- details about the job, such as the room size, photos of the bathroom and the type of work you are interested in;
- anything else you choose to tell us in your message.
Health and mobility information
Because of the work we do, people often tell us about their own or a relative’s health, disability or mobility needs, or share an occupational therapist’s report or a council grant letter. This is “special category” data under UK GDPR and needs extra protection.
We only use this information to plan and carry out the work, for example to decide on rail positions, seat height, turning space or door width. We process it on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you choose to share it with us. You do not have to share health information, but without it we may not be able to recommend the right layout. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us, although this will not affect anything we have already done lawfully.
If you are sharing information about someone else, such as a parent, please make sure they are happy for you to do so.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and call you back;
- to arrange a visit, prepare a quote and plan the work;
- to carry out the work and deal with any follow-up questions;
- to keep records we are required to keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract, our legitimate interest in running the business and responding to enquiries, compliance with legal obligations, and, for special category data, your explicit consent. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed. Depending on location and the work needed, the job may be carried out by one of the independent local specialists we work with, and we pass them the details they need to quote and do the work, including relevant mobility information. We will always tell you who is coming. Our website, email and form data are held by hosting and email providers who process data on our behalf. We may also share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not lead to any work, we normally delete it within 12 months. If we carry out work for you, we keep job records for as long as needed for warranties, legal claims and tax purposes, usually up to six years after the work is finished. Health information is kept only as long as it is needed for the job.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses essential cookies so that it works properly. With your consent, we may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited. These do not identify you directly. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and change your choice at any time through your browser settings.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting who can see it and using secure services to store it. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid emailing very sensitive documents unless needed.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
- ask for your information to be transferred to someone else;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To use any of these rights, email info@wetroomsliverpool.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or by phoning 0303 123 1113.
