Wet Rooms Liverpool is a local wet room and bathroom installation team working across Liverpool and Merseyside. We fit level-access wet rooms, walk-in showers, bath-to-shower conversions and accessible bathrooms, mostly for people whose bathroom has become hard to use and for families planning ahead.

What we do

Our work centres on one question: can the person who lives here shower safely, comfortably and as independently as possible? Sometimes the answer is a full wet room installation with a level floor, rails and a fold-down seat. Sometimes it is a simpler walk-in shower in place of an old bath. Sometimes it is a wider door, a raised toilet and better lighting. We would rather fit the right thing than the biggest thing.

We work in homes across Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens, Wirral and Widnes, from upstairs bathrooms in inter-war semis to bungalows and terraced houses with a downstairs bathroom at the back. You can see the full list on our areas we cover page.

Who we work with

Many of the people we hear from are older, or are calling on behalf of a parent. Others are disabled people, partners and carers, parents of disabled children, or landlords adapting a property. Some are simply renovating and want a modern, easy-to-clean shower room that will still suit them in years to come.

We know that needing a bathroom adaptation can feel like a big change, and that conversations about mobility, falls or personal care are not always easy. We keep things practical and respectful. We ask what the person finds difficult now, what they want to be able to do, and who helps them, and we listen to the person who will use the room as well as the family member who made the call.

How we work

  • We plan around the person. Rails, seat height, turning space and door width depend on how someone moves, not on a standard layout. If there is an occupational therapist’s report, we work from it.
  • We explain the options plainly. We tell you what is possible with your floor and drainage, what is not, and what the trade-offs are.
  • We put it in writing. You get a written quote and plan, so you and your family can look at it without being rushed.
  • We take waterproofing seriously. A wet room depends on careful tanking and a properly laid floor. Any electrical work is done by a qualified electrician.
  • We keep you informed. We tell you how long the bathroom will be out of use and what to expect each day.

Depending on location and the work needed, the job may be carried out by one of the independent local specialists we work with; we will always tell you who is coming.

Grants and funding

Where a wet room is needed because of a disability, a Disabled Facilities Grant from the local council may help with the cost. We do not decide grant applications and cannot promise an outcome, but we can quote and plan the work so it fits the council’s process. Our DFG wet rooms page explains how it usually works, and our buyer’s guide covers the wider decisions.
